(This listing is for only the broom coverlette without the tieback. One-piece design covers both handle and ¾ of broom straw. (When I first created these, the skirt covered the broom straw entirely and just skimmed the floor. My customers commented that the lace was getting soiled when they swept, so I began making the skirt shorter and it works for everyone.)
The Broom Coverlette fits any basic broom. The less expensive the broom, the better the fit. Yes…you can use your broom with this on it…not a problem. However, many a clever lady just has it standing in the corner of the kitchen to give the idea that a broom is used in her home…to create an aura of domesticity! If and when you want to wash it, just remove the ribbon or jute tie, hand wash and put it back on your broom to dry in place. *Scientifically proven to make your broom work better!
and if you want to get a little fancier…
These are great used just as they come, but if you want to add a little more character to them, you can purchase any one of three tiebacks to tie onto your broom cover giving it a Country, Victorian or a Teddy Bear look. Check my other listings to see the tiebacks (Heartstring Tieback, Teddy Bear Tieback and Tussie Mussie Tieback, originally designed for curtains, but versatile enough to use on broom covers, bedposts and even on lampshades!
